Care & serving guide

Frozen arrival through serving — one place for storage, defrost, and product-range guidance.

All products are delivered frozen. Please follow the defrosting and storage instructions provided with each product.

Product labels and any notes on the product page take priority when they differ from this guide. See also delivery details for schedule and fees.

On arrival

Orders arrive frozen. Move them into the freezer promptly — ideally at about −18°C or colder. Avoid leaving boxes in a warm car, near radiators, or in direct sun.

Ambient defrost

For same-day serving, defrost at room temperature for about 2–3 hours, until the bake is soft enough to enjoy. Keep items covered while they come up to temperature. For cakes and tray bakes, you can portion while still frozen and only defrost what you need.

Overnight fridge defrost

Prefer a gentler overnight defrost? Keep the product covered in the fridge, then bring it to room temperature before serving if you like a softer finish.

Serving & storage

Once defrosted, keep covered and out of direct heat and sunlight. Enjoy within about three days of defrosting. Do not refreeze after thawing.

By product range

Use these notes when a product does not include its own care card. Product-specific instructions always win.

  • Round cakes & cheesecakes

Keep frozen until you need them. If you only want a few slices, cut while still frozen, then return the rest to the freezer promptly. Defrost portions or the whole cake at room temperature for about 2–3 hours before serving.

  • Tray cakes, blondies & brownies

Leave in the freezer until serving day. Portions can be separated while frozen. Allow about 2–3 hours at room temperature to defrost before plating.

  • Cookies & pastries

Store frozen until needed. Bring to room temperature for about 2–3 hours (or until soft enough to enjoy). Keep covered once defrosted.

Allergens

Check the allergen information on each product page and any labels included with your order. This guide does not replace product-level allergen statements.
